Daymn… can’t wait to get my W2. BTW, been thinking bout reorganizing my categories. Dont know if I should add more or merge a few of them.

  • Got My ‘Teevo’

I got my Teevo last night before I left work and I’m loving it. I came home for lunch to check on some of the stuff I set it to record and despite Ka.ramo being a whiny bitch it was all fucking good. I Teevoed Invader Zim, which is 100 times funnier the Fairly Odd Parents, and The Screen Savers, which now sucks since Comcast fired the enitre cast saved for Kevin and Sarah. Its the dawn of a new age for me… The Platinum Age Of Televison.

And if you’re wondering why I call it a Teevo and not a Tivo, well because it isn’t a Tivo. I guess that Tivo patent expired and the market is now oversaturate with knock-offs and wannabes. Plus u can get this shit dirt-ass cheap. Almost better then buying shit from a crack head.

  • Spendin’ Money Like I Don’t Have Bills

Sometimes I think the titles of my posts are actually longer then the post itself.

I made a big step on Friday. It’s probably something thats gonna bite me in the ass, but I can live with it now. For a minute I’ve been going back and forth bout getting an iPod. The main reason for not getting one was I didn’t that much time listening to music. Granted I do have about 4000 tracks (or 375 CDs) but they only time I listen to anything is either when I’m listening to Howard Stern in the morning or mix-cds I got from The Slim One while I’m in my Piece ‘O’ Shit, going to work.

    ipod

I’m a avid mac user, and submit to the expense bullshit when I paid $2200 for my PowerBook, so I couln’t use the standard negro excuse. So I did it. I went out Friday morning and bought a 20GB 4th generation iPod. I didn’t get the 40GB cuz I wouldn’t be carry all my music with me and the 20GB was only $50 more the the iPod mini.So I had all weekend to play with my new toy, and now I can’t see myself without carrying it everywhere I go. I sync’d up my contacts and my iCal to it and I’ve been trying to set up my playlist “On The Go.” I really don’t see how people can get a subpar mp3 player, try to hype it up to be as good as the iPod.

Okay, I’m done being on Steve Jobs’ dick…

  • Channeling The Inner Geek

Been at work since 4:30am, well thats a lie. I was suppose to be here at 4:30 but thats the time I actually got outta bed. Regardless my weekend was not half bad. I think I did spend entirely too much money at Walmart & Target for new bathroom shit. But there’s something bout a suede shower curtain.

A major thing I did do this weekend was buy some new video games. Unfortunately I’ve been neglecting my gamecube and this weekend was no different. This was essential a PS2 holiday. I got Def Jam: Fight For NY the sequal to Def Jam Vendetta and the RPG-styled game X-Men Legends.

First DJ:FFNY is so much better then the orginal. Its a good thing that video games sequals do tend to be then their predacestors unlikely movies. The best way to describe this game in terms of joy is to compare it to bomb-ass sex. Its a rendered orgy. It brings all the best aspects of Vendetta and improves on it, from the rating system, fighting gamplay and the cast has tripled in size. The story picks up right as DJ Vendetta ends where D-mob is is being hauled off to jail after his ass-whuppin but as he being driven in the squad car its “T-boned” by an Escalade and he’s freed by the driver (your character) of the SUV. Now apparently since D-Mob has been ousted as the big-honcho in the Underground, others are vied to take his place namely Snopp Dogg. I need to get back to this game after work… Need to winner a couple grand to get this platinum chain from Jacob the Jeweler.

    **Edit**

X-Men: Legends… honestly I felt like I was playing the Sims with mutant powers. The geek in me loved action and hell even geek enough to play RPGs but something X-Men: Legends just didn’t sit well with me. It wasn’t story centering on Magma or the fact that Cree Summer was casted as her voice. Maybe its the fact that game writers forget that Allison Crestmere aka Amara aka Magma is Brazilian not from Jersey. Sorry… got alittle fanboy on y’all. well Overall X-Men: Legends is an alight game and I will be playing the hell outta of it, cuz hey, I’m the same muh fucka that like the Fantastic Four for PSX.

  • Confessions

Recently I’ve become more accepting of a part f me. A part that I’ve tried to hide from others because I was ashamed of what I was. Changed my mannerisms to fit and eventually led my own way to self hatred of my kind. I knew I was this way since I was little, the way I was in school, my way I acting around other kids, it wasn’t hard to see. So today I bare it all and just come out with it. I’m a geek.

Geek, nerd, or whatever you want to call me, that’s what I am. Highly intelligent with proficiency in mathematics, technology and high spatial skills. I’m no longer ashamed to hide who I really am. So what I can program, I read comic books, watch Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Anime. I’ve seen every episode of Star Trek: TNG, DS9 & Voyager, praise the accomplishments of Steve Jobs and read the any and all Macintosh news. I play video games; console, computer and handheld. I mean like role playing games. I use to play Magic: The Gathering on a daily basis.

I come out today cuz I no longer care what people think of me. I am a black geek and I’m proud of it.
